When we realise how tightly we've been holding on we can begin to...

ree

I always had the sense that it was external relationships that were creating all this tension inside, but just now, simply peeling apples, a lightbulb came on that spoke like this:

It’s not about my relationship with another, it's about my relationship with my self.

All this churning was inside me, and as it becomes clear that never is there anything external to us that can make us feel a certain way, we may realise we do it to ourselves, all-ways.

So when those old & familiar feelings start creeping in, and we begin to explore them, we may notice something:

It’s the stories in our heads that are creating these feelings in our bodies.

What a realisation.

And a question in the innocence of that exploration arises which says:

“If I am creating these uncomfortable feelings in my body based around negative thoughts I’m telling myself, and if I change the inner narrative to something positive instead of reliving patterns of trauma, can I change these feelings in the body also to positive ones?"

Sure I can!

Choosing to create a different narrative is a very exciting prospect.
