My life is lived by my own choices — I feel deeply, intuitively, the way.
I didn’t always live with this kind of clarity.
A lot of my life was hijacked by my attention to other people's needs.
I looped in cycles of striving, procrastination, overwhelm, achievement & burn out.
I didn't know I was carrying a story of discombobulation so loud it drowned out the sound even of my own Soul.
Aspects of my existence were lived from feigned subservience— I would move from relationships and life scenarios, from country to country even, to feel safe and free, just to be myself.
I always knew the sound of my soul.
But the conditioning to be available for other people's needs was so strong.
I had no idea what boundaries were. My freedom had been well and truly muted.
And my nervous system kept the score, always reminding me what was not okay—
it took time to learn to listen.
where the discomfort of staying put meets the courage of knowing, the first step is the greatest.
To begin making choices from this inner knowing, and to start to truly live it in the world, is a courageous step.
